While hailing the budget as pro-farming and pro-rural, TRS MP K Kavitha, here on Monday was skeptical whether it would benefit women much. Adding that the ‘devil lies in the detail,’ she said on the face of it, the budget looked good.
But, whether the allocation of Rs 87,000 crore for rural development would mean anything to Telangana which was facing drought for the last two years was also not known, she added.
The boost being given to the rural sector was good as it would lead to infrastructure development like roads that lead to better connectivity with markets and make the movement of farm produce easier for the farmers.
