Opposition party leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the Petrol, diesel prices in Andhra Pradeshare very high when compared to the other states.No where in the country , the prices are so high. The adjournment motion submitted by YCP to the speaker on the petrol and Diesel price hike is rejected by the latter.

In Andhra Pradesh state, 31 percent plus Rs. 4 VAT on petrol, 22.1 percent plus Rs. 4 VAT on Diesel is being levied. The amount so collected will add to the state government's revenue. TDP Government is responsible for the petrol and diesel prices's hike he added.
