Mudragada demands AP Govt to sanction Rs. 2000 crores for Kapus

Kakinada: Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham today demanded the AP Government to santion Rs. 2000 crores for 2 consecutive years for the welfare of the kapus. The Government has by now decided to sanction Rs. 1000 crores in the Budget 2016-17 for the kapu community.

Mudragada Padmanabham also expressed his willingness for talks with the Government officials over the issue.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has entrusted with the task to Ramachandrapuram MLA Thota Trimurthulu for diffusing tensions between Kapunadu leaders and the TDP government. Trimurthulu has been holding talks with the Kapunadu leaders.

The MLA said that the Chief Minister is taking all measures to end 30 years fight of Kapus for reservation. He also said that the TDP government will include Kapus in BC list.

Member of Lok Sabha and TDP Parliamentary Party leader Thota Venkata Narasimham expressed his willingness to mediate with Mudragada on quota issue to Kapus if the party leadership seeks his services.  

The MP also made it clear that the reservation process cannot be completed overnight as several issues are to be taken into consideration in finalising the sensitive issue.  He also said that only the TDP government has constituted a corporation for Kapus on par with SC, BC and ST corporations for the first time.
