Nellore: Minister for municipal administration P Narayana dared YSR congress leaders that he would alienate the properties if YSRC people proved that he had benami properties. Interacting here to mediapersons on Thursday, he said that a Telugu newspaper (Sakshi) has been creating nonsense stories on his properties. He said that YSR congress will shortly be deserted with huge turnout of leaders.
He reviewed the progress of employment guarantee scheme with officials at the district collectorate and directed officials to start the Panta Sanjeevani programme. He also said that a number of man-days should be created for jobholders.
District Collector M Janaki said they had allocated Rs 10 lakh for each village for providing works under NREGS for their development which would enhance their livelihood sources. Nellore Mayor Abdul Aziz and other senior officials were also present.
