A case has been filed against 18 People after former Union Minister Chiranjeevi unveiled the statue of Sri Krishnadevaraya at Railway Kodur in Kadapa district.

Apparently, Supreme Court's order doesn't permit installation of statues in crowded places. Even the Sri Krishnadevaraya Committee didn't acquire prior permission to set up the statue.

Police have filed a case against 16 members of Sri Krishnadevaraya Committee under Sections 188, 341 and 427 of Indian Penal Code. Initially, Cops considered including the names of Chiranjeevi, Sai Prathap, C Ramachandraiah and Tirupati MLA Sugunamma. However, The plan has been called off later.

Chiru unveiled the statue of Sri Krishnadevaraya in the presence of large number of fans. He even made an announcement that his 150th flick will go on floors in the month of August.
