YCP leader Jyothula Nehru got offended when Jagan offered PAC post to Jr. MLA

The YCP opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly is slowly caving in to the onslaught of the ruling TDP. The YCP leader, Jaganmohan Reddy's deputy, Jyothula Nehru himself is taking to bicycle riding. On sunday, Jyothula admitted as much. He said he was being pressured by his constituents and followers to cross over to the ruling party for the concomitant benefits for all.

Jyothula was responding to speculation following his meeting with Finance Minister Yanamala Ramkrishnudu along with Paruvula Subba Rao.

Even so, the deputy leader of the YCP tried to explain that had he wanted to join the ruling TDP, he could have straight away gone to meet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Instead he met Yanamala to project the point that he was trying to angle for some project or other before joining the TDP.

Jagan meanwhile is trying his best to hold on to his depleting stock. He said the other day in Nellore that one Vijayanna, Anam Vijaykumar Reddy, joining his party filled the gap of eight of his MLAs crossing over to the ruling TDP. Such boasts apparently did not work in the face of stalking of the YCP by ruling party leaders.

Jyothula had in fact coveted the poisiton of Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee. But Jagan had allotted the position to the Kurnool MLA, much against the demand in the party. As a result, Amarnath Reddy of Chittoor had said that the allotment of the position to the Kurnool MLA was a surprise when it should have gone to Jyothula. Naturally he had a grievance.
