Hyderabad: Proposals submitted by the AP endowments department for taking up preparations for the Krishna Pushkaralu left Chief Secretary S.P. Tucker stunned.
The department estimated the arrangements for the Krishna Pushkarulu to cost the government a whopping Rs 4,256.68 crore, while it spent Rs 2,000 crore on the recent Godavari Pushkaralu.
The Krishna Pushkaralu will be conducted in three districts of AP. Mr Tucker made it clear that the proposals were on the higher side and said that the government will release Rs 50 crore to Rs 100 crore for each district.
As per the proposal, the endowments department will need to spend Rs 2,178.82 crore in Krishna Rs 2178.82 crore, Rs 1,330.30 crore in Guntur and Rs 747.56 crore in Kurnool.
