One of the key strengths of the TDP is their ‘media management’. With the majority newspapers and channels being owned by Kammas, they tend to report everything in favor of the TDP. This of course is public knowledge.
They successfully brainwashed the public into believing that Jagan had usurped one lakh crores, an image that they keep reinforcing regularly.
And similarly when Jagan spoke in favor of the farmers in the new capital region, he was labeled as hostile to a new capital. When he spoke out against the need for Pattiseema, he was labeled as anti-development.
And when Kapus resorted to violence over the failed promise of the TDP, the blame was apportioned to Jagan. These street smart tactics of the yellow gang seem to have got to Jagan, going by his speech in the Assembly.
Speaking for those displaced by the Polavaram project, Jagan said that the displaced people have not been given any rehabilitation and they have been suffering for the last ten years.
He said that it was important for the government to first rehabilitate those affected by Polavaram and then move ahead with the project.
At the same time, he stressed the point that he was not against the Polavaram project and requested the government not to label him as ‘anti-Polavaram’ just because he was speaking for the people affected by the project.
It seems like the TDP propaganda has got to Jagan.
