Unfortunately, Reports of Amitabh Bachchan charging Rs 4 crore to sing National Anthem during India-Pakistan match went viral on social media. Some people have gone to the extent of questioning the patriotism of the Iconic Personality.
Former Indian skipper and Bengal Cricket Association president Saurav Ganguly rubbished the baseless speculations doing rounds. Stating that Amitabh is a special person, Dada questioned, 'Can you imagine a celebrity paying Rs 30 lakhs from his pocket to perform? Amit ji hasn't accepted a single penny even though I literally begged him. Big G told me he is doing all this for love and there is no question of money being involved. He himself paid for his flight tickets, hotel bills and even match passes'.
At least, People should stop making baseless allegations against Amitabh Bachchan after witnessing how he cheered for Team India during Yesterday match. There were no words to describe the way he waived the tri-color flag after India's victory. Big B - The Pride of India!!
