Birkur (Nizamabad): The Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation (TSMDC) was able to earn Rs 310 crore for giving permission to carry out sand mining activities in the district.
Addressing the media in the mandal headquarters here on Friday, TSMDC general manager Rajasekhara Reddy said that steps were taken to prevent any irregularities taking place in the asnd mining activities which were being carried out in a transparent manner.
The general manager inspected the works relating to sand quarrying on river banks in the town. He said that already 3,020 lorries have been booked online to transport the sand. In-charge Tahsildar Rajeshwara Rao, Regional Inspector of district mines department Hariparasad, surveyor Gopal and others were present.
