As per latest reports, Vijayawada born Padmasree Warrior is in line to become the new CEO of leading social networking site, Twitter. Since the former CEO Dick Costolo resigned few months ago, Twitter team is searching for the right CEO to replace interim CEO Jack Dorsey.
Born Padmasree Yellepeddi, Padmasree Warrior did her schooling in Vijayawada and did chemical engineering at IIT Delhi. She then moved to the US to do MS at Cornell University. After education, she worked as the Chief Technology & Strategy Officer at Cisco Systems and Motorola respectively. In 2014, Forbes named Padmasree Warrior as one of the 100 most powerful women in the world. In 2006, Fortune magazine named her one of the four rising women stars.
If chosen, Padmasree will join the elite list of Indians like Satya Nadella and Sundar Pichai, who have become CEOs of Microsoft and Google respectively.
