Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to generate employment through the development of tourism in the state. The finance minister made allocations to the tourism department in the budget 2016-2017 accordingly.
Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu tabled the budget in the Assembly today. In his Budget, allocations were made to the Krishna puskaralu.
Highlights of AP Budget speech
* Development of the Tourism sector considering long coast line, forests, historic sites etc.
* Rs .227.74 crore allocated for the Tourism sector.
* Rs .1368 crore was allocated for Godavari puskaralu, earlier. Rs 250 crore is allocated for Krishna puskaralu in Budget 2016 ,which will be held in August 2016.
* Setting up Museums in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Eluru.
* Setting up Onshore Museum in Vijayawada
* Through 'Cultural Festivals' scheme fairs and festivals held in various districts to be celebrated all over the state.
* Setting up Tagore Cultural Complex in Kakinada. Also, Auditoriums in Tirupati, Visakhapatnam.
* Regional science centers in Anantapur.
* Three convention centers in Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada by PPP method.
* Set up Kuchipudi Natyaramam soon.
* AP Government aims at Rs .2,174 crore Private investment in this sector in the year 2016-2017 which generate 7,992 more jobs.
