Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu feels that the development of a state can be attained easily by making use of the technology to the largest scale. As per the vision and the plan of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu made allocations to the
technology sector in the Budget 2016-17.
Highlights of AP Budget speech
* Setting up School of Excellence in Tirupati with the cooperation of Israel. School of Excellence provides cyber security to Citizens, corporate, government
* AP is the first state in the country to design a process related to the Internet of things (IOT), said Yanamala in his Budget speech.
* Budget estimates to information technology, electronics, communications sector is proposed to Rs .360.22 crore.
* The state government formed a new IT policy for encouraging the youth. The Government also formed an Electronic policy " Ease of doing Business" to attract reforms and investments. As a result of these efforts, the investment proposals of Rs .3,780 crore and 8,700 job opportunities shall be made available in different stages.
* 12,359 vacant jobs to be filled directly by the state government for administration, technical management services. The Government granted permission for the same, said Yanamala.
Setting up fiber grid with Rs 320 crore
The state government had planned to provide broadband services to every house hold in AP state. For this purpose, the government would establish Fiber Grid with a capacity of 10 to 15 Mbps connectivity with an estimated cost of Rs 320 crore by the end of 2016. Andhra Pradesh Government is the first state in the country to make such effort, said Yanamala.
Technical aid to Farmers
The government has already launched ' Mee intiki Mee Bhoomi' program by which the land records are computerized. Other than this, e -cross booking system was launched. The Government is working on ' e-pragathi' where where all the required records will be made available at one place.
The government has taken steps to increase the the capacity of the civil services, through widespread use of the Information technology. e-office is widely used in the Secretariat . This facility will be extended to all the department offices in the coming days, said Yanamala
* B2C and G2C services will be provided to the customers through 'Mobile Mee- seva' program apart from Mee-seva centres.
* 33 Departments of the state will be Integrated with an estimated cost of Rs .2,398 crore
* Setting up of e-office in Secretariat.
* e -governance in the government offices.
