Having seen the Telugu Desam Party leaders in Andhra Pradesh going hammer and tongs against YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, there is an interesting story doing in the media circles of late.
According to this story, most of those who had personally targeted Jaganmohan Reddy have virtually disappeared from politics or facing bleak political future.
Take for example, former minister P Shankar Rao. He used to attack Jagan with the harshest words and even filed a case in the High Court alleging that Jagan had amassed massive wealth through illegal dealings.
The Congress high command used him as a pawn to attack Jagan who revolted against Sonia Gandhi. But finally, Shankar Rao had to face the most humiliating experience in politics – he was caught in an illegal real estate case in Bollarum; he lost Cabinet post during the Kiran Kumar Reddy regime and finally, he could not even get the party ticket to contest in 2014 elections. He is nowhere to be seen now.
Of course, Sonia Gandhi, too, had to pay heavy penalty for disowning Jagan.
So was the case with former TDP MP K Yerran Naidu, who also filed a case against Jagan in disproportionate assets case. He had to meet with a gory accident.
Former Congress minister D L Ravindra Reddy, who never lost an opportunity to attack Jagan, also disappeared from the political scene and is facing uncertain future.
Former MPs Lagadapati Rajagopal, Vundavalli Arun Kumar and Sabbam Hari, who resorted to severe criticism of Jagan, are also missing in action and they have no chance of returning to limelight again.
Let us see what is in store for TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and his colleagues who are now targeting Jagan and abusing him day in and day out.
