Achutani Gopala Krishnamurthy passes away, Mudra Ads AGK died
Mudra Ads founder Achutani Gopala Krishnamurthy passed away at his residence in Hyderabad on Friday afternoon.
Mudra ads earned quite a name in the advertising field.
Born at Vinukonda in Guntur district, AGK, as Gopala Krishna Murthy was popularly known, went to Bombay on the completion of his graduation in Andhra University in Visakhapatnam. He joined as a clerk in Calico Mills before moving to Reliance Industries. Later he joined Shilpi ads before setting up Mudra Communications and Advertising in 1980.
Mudra ads held the famous accounts of Vimal of Reliance and Rasna. Close to Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani, AGK wrote many books on Dhirubhai. He also used to write essays in a Telugu daily.
AGK later settled down in Hyderabad.
